ANCIENT SORROW - Old-School Thrash Black Metal
The dawn of Ancient Sorrow awaked in early 2006 with Nemethor (guitars), Serpentus (lyrics, vocals) and Amboss (guitars) as the original lineup. The first demo called "Blasphemy" is recorded in 2007 in studio Holliday with Dok as a session bass player and self-published as a pro done CD-R limited edition release in 50 hand numbered copies. With a generous help of Grom Records, Mungos Metal/Rock Shop (Serbia) and Headbanger Metal Shop (Budapest) the "Blasphemy" demo was widely noticed in underground circle and crowned the year 2008 with appearance in the almighty Terrorizer Magazine nr. 171 in Serbian Black Metal Scene report. In the same year follows a few live performances of Ancient Sorrow at several smaller happening and the band starts to preparing to show on Exit Festival, unfortunately the gig is canceled by the whole Demo Stage departure. In the beginning of 2009 Serpentus and Amboss leave the band focus on themselves on their own project and Nemethor continued the story of Ancient Sorrow as one-man band by recording the new song "Insomnia Aeternum" taking over the vocal and lyrics duties alongside the guitars. The studio mainman and bass guitar/drum master is now Warhead who also handle the recording process. After the proud appearance on Pest Records Online Compilation Vol. 9 on the 1st of November (also will be release as limited edition pro done CD-r), Ancient Sorrow will join the force with Australian black metal horde Altars Of Sin on split CD release in May 2010, under the flag of Pest Records Underground Extreme Metal Label...
